Soul Men

Synopsis

Superstars Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac are “Soul Men” - the hilarious story of Louis (Samuel L. Jackson) and Floyd (Bernie Mac), a popular singing duo back in the day, who went their separate ways and never spoke again. When the death of their former group leader (John Legend) reunites them and sends them driving cross country for a tribute concert at the legendary Apollo Theatre, they will have only five days to bury the hatchet on a twenty-year-old grudge.

    The MetroMix has caught up with ‘Soul Men’ actor Samuel L. Jackson on his latest role as Louis. Jackson talks about co-starring in a comedy and Bernie Mac’s passing. Jackson also chats about being credited with over 100 movies and talks about which ones he feels truly happy with. ‘Soul Men’ Is out in theaters Friday, November 7th.

    “…the next day’s not promised to any of us. When audiences see [this movie], they will see the guy that they knew, loved, invited into their homes, the guy that made ‘em laugh till they peed in “Kings of Comedy,” and they’ll discover he can sing, dance, and do some other stuff dramatically that they’ve never seen him do. So it’s sort of a fitting last picture for him…”
